How We Began?
At Stepping Stones, our journey started with one simple belief: every child deserves the chance to grow, learn, and shine in their own way. We wanted to create a safe, supportive space where children and families could find not just therapy, but hope and guidance.
Our Experience
Appropriate Learning Curriculum, Rooted in Real-Life Experience
Stepping Stones was founded by Angabeen Shaikh, a behavior analyst and a mother of two neurodivergent children. Her journey is both professional and personal, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges and hopes that families experience.
Angabeen holds a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Kansas and is certified as a Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) by the QABA board as well as an International Behavior Analyst (IBA) through the IBAO board. She has also contributed to research with a paper on Pre-School Life Skills and Parent Training.
With over 5 years of experience, she has worked across different settings—ranging from 1:1 therapy sessions and classroom management to inclusive education training and parent coaching. Alongside her professional work, she is passionate about creating a supportive community for other mothers navigating similar journeys.
At Stepping Stones, Angabeen blends professional knowledge and personal experience to help children grow in a fun, inclusive, and empowering environment.
