Learn More ➜Social skills therapy at Stepping Stones supports children who find it challenging to interact with peers, make friends, or handle group situations. Using role-play, games, and real-life practice, our therapists teach children how to express themselves, understand others, and feel confident in social environments.
Social skills therapy is beneficial for children who experience:
Learning how to start, join, and maintain conversations with peers.
Practicing sharing, turn-taking, and playing cooperatively with others.
Recognizing body language, tone of voice, and personal space in interactions.
Working together, problem-solving, and respecting different perspectives.
Identifying emotions and using words to share feelings in healthy ways.
Learning calm strategies for solving disagreements and making amends.
At Stepping Stones, social skills therapy is fun, engaging, and practical. Children learn through play, group interactions, storytelling, and structured peer practice. The goal is to give children the confidence to connect with others at school, home, and in the community.
